Foundation & Origin
1950 · The Beginning
In 1950, the Refugees Co-operative Housing Society Ltd. was formed by displaced persons who migrated to India from erstwhile Pakistan after the 1947 partition.
Registration & Name Change
1950-1993 · Evolution
Registered under Bombay Act No. VII of 1925, later renamed to "The Punjabi Bagh Co-operative Housing Society Ltd." on advice of Prime Minister Nehru.
Development & Allotment
1953-1957 · Growth
The Society developed 246 Acres into residential plots and allotted them to members, following DDA sanctioned plans.

Over the years, we have expanded our reach, strengthened our network, and developed various programs to impact people positively. The governing body and volunteers work together to ensure transparency, community participation, and sustainable development.
Park Maintenance
The Society previously handled the maintenance of Veer Savarkar Park in West Punjabi Bagh and Shaheed Dhingra Park, East Punjabi Bagh, which was widely praised. For some reason, the Society abandoned the responsibility of maintaining the parks. Today, the parks are in a dismal state, and everyone is ignoring them. We are again trying to have the Society take over the maintenance and make them even more beautiful.
Backlane Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance of backlanes to ensure hygiene and proper sanitation throughout the society. Our team works diligently to keep these service areas clean, preventing accumulation of waste and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the residential areas.
Tree Planting
Environmental initiatives focused on planting and nurturing trees across the society to enhance green cover and improve air quality. Regular tree plantation drives are organized to involve residents in creating a more sustainable and eco-friendly living environment.
