The Government acquired land measuring 2763 bighas and 3 Biswas vide notification No. F15(31)50-MLT, dated 30.12.1950 for resettlement of displaced persons.
The Society purchased the acquired land from the Government and took possession in 1953, submitting the Lay-Out Plan which was sanctioned by DDA under interim General Plan in 1957.
The Society developed an area measuring 246 Acres approx. into four categories of residential plots in the Colony now known as Punjabi Bagh and allotted the same to its members for valuable consideration.
Land measuring 337 Acres approx. was reserved for various civic amenities including Roads, Service/back lanes, educational & religious institutions, hospitals, dispensaries, green belt/parks, recreational club, community center, shopping centers, water & sewerage treatment plant, electric sub-stations, cremation ground etc.
Plotting and reservation of land for basic and various civic amenities/facilities was done strictly in conformity with the then prevailing Rules & Regulations of concerned Civic Authorities.
The Society provides the Community Centre to members for holding functions purely on welfare basis (no profit and no loss). Facilities include well maintained lawn of 1½ Acres, One Room, electricity, water and eco-friendly generator.

Comprehensive security systems and regular perimeter patrols ensuring resident safety 24/7.

Compliance with DCS Act & Rules for all transfers.
Elected Managing Committee oversight.
Transparent financial auditing and member reporting.
DCS Act 2003
Since our inception, we have been committed to working for the welfare and development of the community, promoting inclusive growth and humanitarian values.
Over the years, we have expanded our reach, strengthened our network, and developed various programs to impact people positively. The governing body and volunteers work together to ensure transparency, community participation, and sustainable development.

The Society previously handled the maintenance of Veer Savarkar Park in West Punjabi Bagh and Shaheed Dhingra Park, East Punjabi Bagh, which was widely praised. For some reason, the Society abandoned the responsibility of maintaining the parks. Today, the parks are in a dismal state, and everyone is ignoring them. We are again trying to have the Society take over the maintenance and make them even more beautiful.
